First Pattern of 2015!

Introducing the Arkenstone Slouch hat! I am really excited about this pattern release. I was inspired by a sweatshirt that my daughter has. The color combo, and changing designs made me want to create a hat to go with it.

So then comes the naming of the design. Well, with it being as sparkly as it is since I used metallic yarn – and after just recently seeing the Hobbit – I thought of the Arkenstone! The Heart of the Mountain – the most sought after jewel, the heir of Durin’s folk. I think it’s a perfect name!
